Colourful Cushions

The New Year has begun with colourful cushion making. I'm trying to stock-pile some for the fairs this year, before my gardening duties take over in the spring and summer! I have already booked myself into a few fairs, including a new one for me - The North Devon Show in August, where I shall have a large pitch in the craft and gift marquee. Full details of all the fairs I shall be attending can be found via my website and I hope to add a few more to the calendar soon. (My handmade items are generally created with the larger fairs in mind - I prefer to take my general vintage stock to the South Molton Flea Market).
So with summer in the countryside in mind, I have created lots of colourful cushions from vintage fabrics.
Two with hand embroideries as the centrepiece...

And four more with vintage hand stitched tapestry panels...

The reverse side to each cushion is also made from hard wearing vintage fabrics in coordinating colours.

I have several more pretty cushions I am working on, before turning my attention to other exciting products.
Thanks for stopping-by.

Happy New Year!

This angel decoration is one I made for myself this year.
I used a beautiful lace knit mohair scarf to create her gown. She will be the start of a new collection of angel dolls that I hope to work on throughout 2017

Thank you to all who have made a purchase from me this year - I appreciate your support and interest in my work.
My official best pics from 2016 over on Instagram.

Wishing you and yours a very Happy New Year and I hope 2017 will be especially kind to us all.

Thank you x

Just wanted to thank all of those who have bought from me this year, either online or at fairs. I have just 4 2 of my handmade dolls left in my shop for anyone looking for a last minute gift or a treat for themselves. I can post up until (and including) Wednesday to guarantee delivery within the UK in time for Christmas.

My Homemade Christmas Wreath

My finished homemade Christmas wreath this year ended up so big, we can only just shut the front door!
It's not cost a penny...all from our garden and reflecting our life here in rural North Devon. The base of my wreath is twisted dogwood stems that I wove together myself...I've used an abandoned bird's nests that I found earlier this year as my main feature, lots of greenery - no berries here as all have been eaten by the birds, which is fine - I substituted for small cider apples, added barbed wire to reflect the farming community that surrounds us, scraps of sheep's wool, pheasant and buzzard feathers, and lichen covered twigs

Welcome x
I created a second wreath as a gift for our next-door-neighbours.
Hope you are enjoying some creative time for the festive season.

Thank you!

Thank you to all who visited my stand at the Vintage & Handmade Fair in Chipping Sodbury on Saturday. It was my best one of the year, so a fabulous end to the season! xx
Record numbers came along, as the fair coincided with the town's Victorian Christmas Event...Hope it does again next year! Thanks to Michele and Jayne for all their hard work.
I shall now be listing some of my handmade Christmas decorations in my on-line shop over the next week - I hope that you will enjoy taking a look when you have time.
Miss Winter Mist has already flown in and is looking for a home for Christmas.
